Ruth Eager
Ruth is a prolific artist living and working on the Central Coast of New South Wales
Painter in Oils and Mixed Media.Born in Leipzig - Germany and Resident in Australia since 1954 and at the Central Coast of NSW since 2003.Her life as an Artist began in the mid 1970s with lessons at the Royal Art Society and with the painter Dorothy Davies at Epping - She then attended Meadowbank Technical College and took Lithography Classes at the Art Centre at Willoughby. While she admires the paintings of old Masters , she is greatly drawn to abstraction. Her endeavour is to depict ideas - to encourage a hopefully fruitful rapport with the spectator and the work in question. Her work appears in Group and Solo Exhibitions and she has gained prizes and commendations and is represented in private and public collections both in Australia and Overseas.
