Friday Sketch Club

A friendly group of artists meeting for life drawing every Friday from 10.00am to 12.30pm at Kincumber School of Arts Hall, corner of Empire Bay Drive and Tora Avenue, Kincumber.

We welcome beginners more experienced artists to sketch, paint and draw inspiration from a variety of life models.  Our regular Friday session combines a mix of short warm up and longer poses.

This is not a teaching workshop, but we can provide encouragement and some support to people beginning their exploration of life drawing.  We have some easels and drawing boards and visitors are encouraged to bring their own drawing materials and an easel if you have one.

Regular Friday sessions are $15, which includes model fees, hall hire and morning tea.

Long Friday Painting Session

In addition to our regular Friday morning session, we also run a one a month, Long Friday Painting Session 10.00am – 3.00pm on the last Friday of the month.  This is essentially an extension into the afternoon of our regular Friday session.

The session comprises one pose for the day and is a perfect opportunity to develop a painting,  a more worked up drawing or series of drawings from a single pose.

Beginners and experienced artists welcome for the morning, afternoon or both.

Full day is $30, half day $15 which includes model fees, hall hire and morning tea, BYO lunch.
