This is the eight year that the Country Fair has run this art competition to encourage artists to create work that is linked to a theme.

Last year, we had a fantastic response for this section, and a record number of entries.

We know that there are many local artists producing work of high standard and we encourage all of you to enter this prize to showcase our area!

Entry is free and the winner will receive a cash prize of $200 in addition to the honour of the award.

The theme for this year’s Contemporary Art Prize is:-

“Myths and Legends of the Australian Landscape”

Celebrate the world of heroic deeds, epic journeys and sacred stories.

We encourage diversity of creative ideas, so all entries are welcome from artists over the age of 16 years.

Work may be of any medium and entries must be delivered to the Mangrove Mountain Hall on:-

• Thursday, 15th October between 3pm and 5pm or
• Friday,    16th October between 8am and no later than 11am
